Safety

Sports. Fitness. Community

At City Athletics, the health and safety of our participants and staff is paramount. With your well-being in mind, after opening, we will be closely following the COVID-19 situation and taking strict measures to make sure our gym is as clean and safe as can be.

Temporary Training Safeguards

We are employing the following safeguards:

  • Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath is prohibited from working, participating, or entering the facility.
  • Anyone who enters the gym must wear a mask. Per CDC guidelines, players may remove their masks for short periods at six-feet apart.
  • Practices and training will have limited to no contact among players.
  • There will be no games or game-like competitions until we learn it is safe to play again.
  • Players must bring their own water bottle. Water fountains will be closed.
  • No parents or other spectators will be allowed in the gym.

Facility Safety Measures

We will be paying special attention to the following:

  • Maintaining a rigorous cleaning procedure that focuses on disinfecting all surfaces, floors, and gym equipment.
  • Using effective cleaning supplies with antibacterial properties to reduce the risk of the virus spreading.
  • Stocking up on hand sanitizer and soap and increasing the frequency of checks at all our hand washing facilities.
  • Educating all staff members about the importance of good hygiene at the gym.
  • Feel free to reach out to any of our staff members if you have any further questions about our precautionary measures and cleaning procedure.

How Participants Can Contribute

Here are some tips on how you can help reduce the spreading of the virus as a City Athletics participant or parent of a participant:

  • Wash your hands frequently (for at least 20 seconds) using soap and warm water.
  • Use hand sanitizing gel if unable to use water and soap.
  • When coughing or sneezing, use your sleeve or a tissue to cover your mouth.
  • Dispose of the used tissue immediately afterward.
  • Don’t touch your face (eyes, mouth, and nose) with unclean hands.
  • Try to keep a safe distance from other gym users.
  • Familiarize yourself with the latest CDC guidelines
  • Refrain from visiting the gym if you or a close family member display any of the COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Self-isolate if advised to do so.

At City Athletics, we will keep monitoring the COVID-19 situation and do everything in our power to keep our gym safe. If you need any additional assistance, don’t hesitate to contact us.
